Handrails for steps, porches, and stairs.

We build custom-fit rails for stairs, entries, and transitions, inside and out. They're solid enough to catch a fall and clean enough to look like they belong. Brickman Home Services is a licensed General Contractor based in Spokane.

Where we put handrails

  • Front steps and porch steps, on one side or both
  • Across the landing, so there's something to hold while the door opens
  • Along walkways, including around corners and planter beds
  • Interior stairways, on one side or both
  • Garage steps and other short steps where people lose their balance

Where a wall ends, we add a support post so the rail keeps going. We fit each rail to the steps it's on, so it runs where your hand expects it from the bottom step to the top.

How it works

  1. Call or text.

Tell us which steps or stairs are the problem and who uses them.

  2. We measure.

We look at the steps, talk through where a rail will help, and give you a written estimate before any work starts.

  3. We install.

We build the rail to fit, install it solid, and clean up before we leave.

Handrails for Veterans

The VA HISA grant can help pay for handrails at stairs and entries, inside and out, when your VA prescription calls for them. We write the itemized estimate and take the photos the VA asks for. See how HISA works.
