Grab bars · Eastern & Central Washington · North Idaho

Grab bars that hold when you need them.

We install grab bars in showers, tubs, and next to toilets, anchored into solid backing, not just drywall. Brickman Home Services is a licensed General Contractor based in Spokane.

Where grab bars help most

  • At the shower or tub entry, to hold while you step in and out
  • On the back wall of the tub or shower, to steady yourself while you wash
  • By the faucet and controls, so you aren't reaching without support
  • On the wall just outside the tub, for getting in and out
  • Next to the toilet, for sitting down and standing up

We place each bar where your hand actually goes, not where it's easiest to drill. We mark the spots first and check them with you before we drill. We install on tile, one-piece tub surrounds, and drywall, and every bar goes into solid backing.

How it works

  1. Call or text.

Tell us who the bars are for and where getting around is hard. Family members and caregivers call us all the time.

  2. We look at the space.

We talk through where bars will help and give you a written estimate before any work starts.

  3. We install.

Most grab bar jobs are done in one visit, and we clean up before we leave.

Grab bars for Veterans

VA prosthetics departments order grab bars for Veterans, and we install them for the Spokane and Walla Walla VA. Grab bars ordered this way often don't use any of your HISA grant. If your VA team is ordering grab bars for you, you can ask whether they can send the order to us.

For a bigger bathroom project, like a walk-in shower, the VA HISA grant can help pay. See how HISA works.
